Pfleghardt Named Region and Alfred State Athlete of the Week

Sophomore volleyball player Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) has been named both the Region III and Alfred State athlete of the week.  Pfleghardt helped the Lady Pioneers to a 4-1 record and a runner-up finish at the annual Alfred State Invitational this past weekend.

Pfleghardt was named to the All-Tournament team after finishing the tournament with 40 kills, 13 digs, and 11 service aces.

Last season, Pfleghardt was named 3rd team All-WNYAC after accumulating 324 digs, 278 kills, 41 service aces, and 17 blocks.

Pfleghardt and the Lady Pioneers open up WNYAC play vs. Genesee CC tonight before hosting the Alfred Pod on Saturday where they will take on SUNY Adirondack, Hudson Valley CC, Columbia Greene CC, and Fulton Montgomery CC.
