Lady Pioneers Shutout TC3

The Alfred State women's soccer team opened up Region III Division III play with a 2-0 shutout victory at Tompkins Cortland CC.  The Lady Pioneers outshot the Lady Panthers 20 to 6 on the day to improve to 1-1 on the season. 

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) scored a goal in each half to pace the offense.  Allison Vargeson (Addison) was credited with assists on both goals.

Jessica DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip) made five saves in net to record her first collegiate victory and shutout.

The Lady Pioneers continue their three-game season opening road trip on Thursday when they visit SUNY Delhi.
