Lady Pioneers Fall in Opener

The Alfred State women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Monroe (Bronx) College in their 2012 season opener.  The game played in Rochester was part of the Monroe CC Invitational  The Mustangs finished their trip to Rochester with a 2-0 record.

Monroe found the back of the net twice in the first half and once more in the second.  Krista DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip) made 11 saves in net as the Lady Pioneers were outshot 22-5.

The blue & gold have over a week off before beginning Region III Division III play next Sunday when they travel to Tompkins Cortland CC for a 1 p.m. contest.  A scrimmage scheduled for Monday (8/27) @ Keuka College has been cancelled.
