Lax Wins Third Straight

The Alfred State lacrosse team outscored Jefferson CC 13-0 in the 2nd and 3rd quarter to earn a 22-7 victory over Jefferson CC.  The Pioneers have now won three straight and are now 6-8 overall and 5-7 in Region III play.

After leading by just one, 4-3, after the 1st quarter the blue & gold scored six in the 2nd and seven in the 3rd to jump out to a commanding lead.

Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) led the offense with eight points on three goals and five assists.  Chance Lowry (Waterloo) had five goals and an assist, Lance Elithorpe (Shaftsbury, VT) finished with four goals and an assist, and Brad Zacher (Medina) netted three goals and had an assist.  Jordan Napierala (West Irondequoit) also chipped in two goals and two assists.

Brad Stowell (Marcellus) made 11 saves while Randy Kryszak (Orchard Park) made a save in relief.

The Pioneers return to action on Wednesday when they host Broome CC at Pioneer Stadium at 4 p.m.
