Track Teams Move up in Poll

The Alfred State track & field teams moved up in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The men moved up three spots to #3 while the women moved up two to the #4 ranking.

The Pioneers competed twice last week and had nearly a dozen new NJCAA National Championship qualifying performances.  On Tuesday, the team hosted the Alfred State quad and then traveled to Nazareth College's ROC City Classic on Saturday.

Defending national champion Harper (IL) College sits on top of this week's men's poll followed by SUNY Delhi, Alfred, Howard (MD) CC, and Nassau CC.

Region III rivals SUNY Delhi and Mohawk Valley CC sit 1-2 in the women's poll followed by Gloucester (NJ) County College, Alfred, and Harper.

The 2012 NJCAA Division III National Championships will be held at Pioneer Stadium at Alfred State on May 3-5.  This will be the third time in the past four years that the National Championships will be in Alfred.
