Both Track Teams Ranked 6th in Latest Poll

Both the Alfred State outdoor track & field teams are ranked #6 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Pioneers slipped a few spots from the initial poll last week.

Gloucester (NJ) County College is in the #1 spot for the women followed by Mohawk Valley CC, SUNY Delhi, Harper (IL) College, Herkimer CCC, and Alfred State.

Harper leads the men's poll followed by Howard (MD) CC, Delhi, Gloucester, Queensborough CC, and Alfred.

The Pioneers already did not compete last weekend due to poor weather conditions but did compete on Tuesday at the Alfred Quad Meet (Alfred State, Alfred University, RIT, and Finger Lakers CC).  The men's team finished 2nd out of four teams while the women were 3rd.  Alfred State will be in action again on Saturday at the Nazareth Invitational.

The 2012 NJCAA Division III National Championships will be held for the third time in the last four years at Pioneer Stadium on May 3-5.
