Pioneers Dive into Nationals

The Alfred State men's swimming team began competition at the 2012 NJCAA National Championships with a 10th place finish in the 400 medley relay and a 12th place finish in the 800 free relay

Tyler Sherwood (Elmira Southside), Mark Pendleton (Beacon), Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton), and Josh Stellrecht (Oakfield Alabama) combined to swim a 3:59.02 in the 400 Medley Relay to earn 10th.

Jake Giglio (Hornell) combined with Stellrecht, Sherwood, and Pendleton to swim a 7:59.74 in the 800 free relay to earn 12th.

Action continues on Thursday from Indian River State College (Ft. Pierce, FL) with preliminaries at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
