Swimming Districts: Day Three Wrap

Mark Pendelton (Beacon) had a solid day as the Alfred State swimming team closed out competition at the Northeast Districts/Region III Championships on Sunday.

Pendleton finished 3rd in the 200 breast (2:32.44) and earned a 5th place finish in the 1650 free (19:15.03) to pace the Pioneers.  Tyler Sherwood (Elmira Southside) was 5th in the 200 back (2:17.36) while Jake Giglio (Hornell) was 5th in the 100 free (53.24).

The 400 free relay team of Josh McDowell (Wayland Cohocton), Josh Stellrecht (Oakfield Alabama), Sherwood, and Giglio finished 3rd in 3:39.16.
