Perlino, State Farm Insurance, Presents Salvage Vehicle

Perlino with autobody students and facultyAnthony J. Perlino, front, far left, estimatics team manager for State Farm Insurance, recently visited the senior autobody repair class at Alfred State where he presented Assistant Professor Jim Gerbec, front, far right, and his students with a salvage vehicle, a 2004 Chevy Malibu, for the students to repair and sell. The vehicle, which had been deemed “totaled” by the company, is one of several that the company has donated to a variety of autobody programs, both high school and college, over the years. Himself a graduate of an autobody repair education, Perlino has an affinity for such programs, and his company supports these philanthropic endeavors. Pictured in addition to Perlino and Gerbec are students: front row, left to right: Tom Sievers, Mannsville; Frankie Fello, Wurtsboro; Dakota Bain, Lowville; David Miller, Elmira; Andrew Anderson, Syracuse; Casey Jones, Interlaken; and Jeffery Johnson, Fillmore. In the second row, left to right, students: Christian Repetto, Staten Island; Travis Haddon, Pike; Bruce Taylor, Westport; Logan Wannall, Groton; Mark Wolf, Watertown; and Mikel Seeley, Nichols.
