Financial Planning Students Travel with Dr. Ron Rhoades

Financial Planning program studentsOn Jan. 25, 2012, four students from the Financial Planning Program (Business Department, School of Architecture, Management and Engineering Technology) traveled with Dr. Ron Rhoades to Binghamton, where they attended a luncheon of the Southern Tier Chapter of the Financial Planning Association. They also attended a panel discussion with several practitioners, where they were able to ask questions regarding key tips for new financial planners. In addition, Harold Sasnowitz, CFP®, MBA of Berk Cleveland Rathmell, a wealth management firm, hosted the students in a tour of the firm’s Binghamton offices. Alfred State stresses engagement between students and local practitioners as a means of enabling graduates to better “hit the ground running.” Pictured here, the students who traveled with Rhoades: Alicia Grebner, Wellsville; Nick McMichael, Hornell; De Jaun Hawkins, Decatur, GA; and Caitlin Fuller, Alfred Station.
