The Alfred State indoor track & field team had numerous performance improvements at the two-day Bucknell Open.  The Pioneers were the lone two-year college in the 16 team field.

Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) finished 2nd in the 500 with a time of 1:21.24.  Her performance qualified her for the NJCAA National Championships.  The 500 is the second event she has qualified as she qualified in the 800 last weekend.

Briana Dorsey (Rochester/School of the Arts) was 6th in the 200 (26.77) and tied for 10th in the 60 (8.22).  Caitlyn Hotchkiss (Springville) was 6th in the 500 in 1:26.66.

Jayvon Larkin (Rochester/Wilson) was 7th in the triple jump (13.22 m).

The Pioneers head to Ithaca College next Saturday for the Bomber Invitational.  Action is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
