Lady Pioneers Hang Tough

The Alfred State women's basketball team hung tough versus Monroe CC but fell 83-55 to the NJCAA Division I power.  The Lady Pioneers are now 9-6 on the season.

The Lady Pioneers were led by Amie Brooks' (Pavilion) 22 points.  She was 9 for 15 from the field.  Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) chipped in 10 points, Ardaisha Hudson (Brooklyn/Food & Finance) added eight, and Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) had seven points.

Ivory James led the Lady Tribunes with 18 points.  Four MCC players finished in double figures as the Tribunes earned their 10th straight victory to improve to 15-3 on the year.

The Lady Pioneers return home on Thursday for a 5:30 p.m. contest versus Niagara CCC.
