Pioneers Down Lakers

The Alfred State College men's basketball team downed Finger Lakes CC 62-54 as they took the court for the first time in ten days.  The Pioneers are now 5-5 on the year.

The Pioneers led 31-25 at halftime and led by as many as 18 points.  They led 62-44 but the Lakers scored the final 10 points of the game.

DaQuan Allen (Brooklyn/Boys & Girls) led the blue & gold with 15 points and five assists.  Darrin Butts (Jamestown) added 14 points and Alex Hall (Jamaica/Forest Hills) chipped in 10.

ASC travels to New Rochelle this weekend to participate in the Monroe College Tournament.  The Pioneers take on Monroe College on Friday at 4 p.m. in their first contest.  Monroe enters the game ranked #1 in the latest NJCAA poll.
