Witchella and Johnson Named ASC Athletes of the Week

Alfred State College freshman forward Haley Witchella (Oxford Academy) and sophomore football player Colter Johnson (Warren, PA) have been named the ASC Athletes of the Week by the SID office.

Witchella averaged 24 points per game in the Lady Pioneers two victories on the week.  She scored 48 points including the game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds of a victory over Cayuga CC on the week. She also collected 26 rebounds and blocked ten shots.

Johnson set a new ASC football game record by connecting on four field goals in the Pioneers Region III Championship victory 26-20 over Erie CC.  Johnson hit 26-yard field goal in the 1st quarter and then connected on a 42, 31, and 32 yard field goal in the 3rd quarter.  He also was key in the kickoff game averaging 65.6 yards per kickoff including one touchback.
