The Alfred State College women's cross country team will head into Saturday's Region III Championship at Alfred State as the #1 team in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers will face stiff competition at Regionals as they are joined in the top ten by four other Region III opponents.

ASC, Delhi, MVCC, HVCC, and BCC will be joined by Columbia Greene CC, Finger Lakes CC, Herkimer CCC, North Country CC, and Onondaga CC in the regional championship which is slated for a 11 a.m. start for the women.

The Pioneer men are not in the latest top ten poll but will compete this weekend vs. three schools that are in the top ten including co #1 ranked Delhi and Mohawk Valley.  Hudson Valley CC is ranked #4.  The men's 8k race is slated for 11:45 a.m.

The cross country course at Alfred State starts and ends on the football practice field above the Orvis Activities Center.  The course weaves up and down the picturesque hillside.
