Lady Pioneers Earn 6th Seed

The Alfred State College women's soccer team has earned the #6 ranking in the Region III Division III Tournament.  The Lady Pioneers will host #11 Erie CC in a 1st Round match-up on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.

ASC, ranked #7 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, are 11-4 overall and 10-3 in Region III Division III play.  The Lady Pioneers are making their seventh straight trip to the Regional Tournament.

Finger Lakes CC earned the #1 seed followed by Jamestown-Olean, Herkimer CCC, and Mohawk Valley CC.

In addition to the ASC/ECC match-up on Saturday, #5 Tompkins Cortland CC hosts #12 Clinton CC, #7 Onondaga CC hosts #10 Genesee CC, and #8 Broome CC hosts #9 Jefferson CC.

The winner of the ASC/ECC match-up will travel to #3 Herkimer CCC on Tuesday for a 2nd round contest.

The Lady Pioneers defeated Erie CC in their regular season contest 1-0 in double overtime.
