Lady Pioneers Sweep Past Saints

The Alfred State College volleyball team earned a 25-18, 25-20, 25-22 victory over Mercyhurst North East in a WNYAC contest.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 18-12 overall on the season with the victory.

Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) led the way with 14 kills and 12 digs while Ashley Hulse (Hammondsport) added nine kills, six digs, and two blocks.  Mandy Bush (Altoona, PA) contributed 22 assists, nine digs, six kills, and three aces.

The Lady Pioneers play their final home game of the season on Thursday when they host Finger Lakes CC at 6 p.m.  The game has been designated as a "Dig Pink" event with fundraising events scheduled to raise funds for the Side-out foundation.  There will be a pink duck raffle, a basket auction, and a jar wars competition with the winner taking a pie in the face.
