Baseball Heading to Erie for WNYAC 1st Round

The Alfred State College baseball will be the #6 seed in this weeks Western New York Athletic Conference tournament.  The Pioneers (2-10) will travel to #3 seed Erie CC for a 1st round match-up with the Kats.  First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. at the Williamsville campus.

Erie earned the #3 seed after finishing the WNYAC regular season with a 8-4 mark including a sweep of Alfred State 7-1 and 11-2 on September 11.

Mercyhurst North East earned the #1 seed and a bye in the 1st Round.  #2 Genesee CC hosts #7 Jamestown CC while #4 Monroe CC hosts #5 Niagara CCC in the other 1st round match-ups.

Winners of the 1st round contests will join Mercyhurst North East on Saturday at the WNYAC Final Four to be played at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.
