Lady Pioneers Sting Hornets

The Alfred State College women's soccer team defeated #7 Broome CC 1-0 to register their 5th shutout of the season.  ASC improves to 6-1 (5-1 Region III Division III) while BCC falls to 4-1.

Holli Pierce (Livonia) scored the lone goal of the contest unassisted just over five minutes into the 2nd half.

ASC fired 17 shots (10 on goal) while BCC finished with 10 shots with Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) making eight saves to earn the win.

The Lady Pioneers wrap up their five game road trip with a perfect 5-0 mark.  In the road trip, ASC allowed just one goal while scoring 13.

The blue & gold return to Pioneer Stadium for a 11 a.m. contest vs. Niagara CCC.  The contest is part of Homecoming/Family Weekend 2011.
