Women's Soccer Makes it Four Straight

The Alfred State College women's soccer team won their fourth straight contest on Tuesday with a 3-1 victory over Genesee CC.  The win improves the Lady Pioneers to 5-1 on the season and 4-1 in Region III Division III play.

After falling behind 1-0, ASC would net the game's final three goals.  Jenna Lynn (York) tied it up after getting a pass from Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood).  Fox gave the Pioneers the lead when she scored on a goal assisted by Megan Votava (Alfred Almond) and Taylor Dezio (Marion).  Lacee Pearl (Olean) put the game out of reach in the second half when she scored from Lynn.

ASC held a 27 to 14 shot advantage in the contest.  Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) made nine saves in registering the victory.

The Lady Pioneers wrap up their five game road trip on Thursday with a 4 p.m. tilt at Broome CC.
