Lady Spikers Sweep FLCC Pod

For the second straight Saturday, the Alfred State College volleyball team won all three matches at the FLCC Pod.  ASC defeated Cayuga CC 25-23, 25-12, 25-18, Onondaga CC 25-19, 25-16, 25-16, and Jefferson CC 25-23, 25-21, 26-24.

Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) finished the day with 44 kills, 27 digs, and six aces, Mishaya Tuttle (Campbell Savona) had 52 assists, 26 digs, and eight kills on the day, and Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) chipped in 24 kills, 18 digs, and five aces.  Ashley Hulse (Hammondsport) had 14 kills, 10 digs, nine aces, and six blocks, Kara Anderson (Ontario) picked up 29 digs, and Taylor McCarthy (Watkins Glen) added 17 digs and six aces.

With the three victories, ASC improves to 10-5 overall and 6-2 in Region III Division III play.

The Lady Pioneers host Niagara CCC on Tuesday in a 6 p.m. WNYAC contest.
