Lady Pioneers Shutout Jefferson

The Alfred State College women's soccer team went on the road for the first time in 2011 and earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Jefferson CC.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-1 on the year.

Lacee Pearl (Olean) scored the lone goal of the contest as she found the back of the net for the second time on the season with 11:48 remaining in the 1st half. 

Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) recorded her second shutout of the season in net making eight saves.  ASC held held a 9 to 8 shot advantage for the contest.

ASC returns to action on Tuesday when they continue their five-game road trip at Jamestown CC.  The contest is slated to start at 4 p.m.
