Lady Pioneers Down Monroe

After dropping the first game, the Alfred State College volleyball team rallied to win the next three to defeat Monroe CC 22-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-11 in a WNYC match-up.  ASC improves to 4-3 and 1-1 in WNYAC play on the season while MCC is now 4-2.

Ashley Hulse (Hammondsport) had 13 kills, eight digs, and seven blocks while Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) finished with 15 kills and 11 digs.  Mandy Bush (Altoona, PA) passed out 34 assists and had six digs,  Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) had 13 digs, seven kills, and three aces, and Kara Anderson (Ontario) had 17 digs.

ASC continues their road trip on Saturday with a trip to the Adirondack CC Pod.  They take on Hudson Valley CC at 9 a.m. and then play ACC at approximately Noon, and Fulton Montgomery CC at 1:30 p.m.  All matches are best of five.
