Hoag Named Athlete of the Week

Alfred State College freshman baseball Garrett Hoag (Dansville) has been named the Region III co-male athlete of the week.  Hoag is the second Pioneer baseball player to earn the award this spring.

Hoag hit .429 this past week.  He collected two doubles, a triple, a homer and 8 RBI for the week.  He hit for the cycle in a wild 22-21 game 2 victory over Tompkins Cortland CC.  He finished the game 4 for 5 with a grand slam and 8 RBI.

On the year, Hoag is hitting .239 with 18 RBI and has picked up three wins on the mound.

The Pioneers return to action on Thursday when they host Onondaga CC at 11 a.m. at Bolivar Richburg High School.
