Jefferson Uses Strong 2nd Half to defeat ASC

Jefferson CC outscored Alfred State 7-3 in the 2nd half to earn a 9-5 victory in the Pioneers 2011 home finale. 

JCC (10-4) led 2-0 after one but ASC answered and tied it at 2-2 heading into half.  The Cannoneers scored the first six of the second half to take control of the contest.

Mike Hart (Ajax, ONT) led the blue & gold with three goals while Pat Umphries (Heuvelton) passed out two assists.  Chance Lowry (Waterloo) and Brad Zacher (Medina) both scored while Keith Maloney (Brewster) had an assist.

Brad Stowell (Marcellus) made 26 saves in net to establish a new Alfred State record for saves in a season.  Stowell who has played every minute in net this season now has 252 saves on the year.

The Pioneers (0-12) play their final two games of the season on the road beginning on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. contest with Broome CC.
