Lady Pioneers Wrap Up Southern Trip

The Alfred State College softball team fell twice as they closed out their annual trip to Myrtle Beach, SC on Thursday.  ASC fell 14-1 to Delaware Tech and 10-1 to Rochester (MN) CTC.

In the opener, Del Tech used a seven run 2nd inning to take full control of the contest.  Tara Scholla (Genesee Valley) collected the lone RBI and finished 1 for 3.

Versus RCTC, the Yellowjackets broked open a 3-0 game with five runs in the 4th inning.  Angie Depew (Wellsville) tripled and scored the lone Pioneer run in the contest.  Amber Harding (Fillmore) picked up the RBI.

The blue & gold (1-7) will play their first game up North on March 29th when they travel to Elmira College to take on the JV Eagles.
