Wright Named All-Region

Alfred State College sophomore swimmer Ethan Wright (Clyde Savannah) has been named second team All-Region.

Wright led the Pioneers at both regionals and nationals.  He earned 2nd team All-Region honors in the 200 butterfly with a swim of 2:16.71 at the 2011 Northeast Districts.

After his strong performance at the Districts, Wright scored points in two individual events at the NJCAA National Championships.  He finished the 100 fly with a 15th place finish (57.03) and in the 200 fly with a 16th place finish (2:19.84).

The Alfred State men finished 5th at the Districts and 11th at the NJCAA National Championships.
