Gobezai and Parker Named All-WNYAC

Alfred State College men's basketball players Younatan Gobezai (Bethesda, MD) and Patrick Parker (Jamaica/Hillcrest) have been named All-WNYAC honorable mention.

Gobezai led the Pioneers in WNYAC play with a 15.7 point average.  He finished the season averaging 13.3 points per game.  He also chipped in 122 rebounds, 89 assists, and 29 steals.  He shot a team best 80% (92 for 115) from the foul line.  Gobezai started 25 of the teams 28 games this season.

Parker led the team with a 13.8 point per game average.  He averaged 12.8 points in his twelve WNYAC contests.  He also grabbed a team high 163 rebounds, passed out 92 asssits, and was credited with 30 steals.  In his 26 appearances he shot 42.6% from the field and 61.3% from the foul line.

The blue & gold finished the 2010-11 season with a 5-23 overall record and 1-13 mark in WNYAC play.
