Peet Finishes 6th

Alfred State College freshman Tyler Peet (Unadilla Valley) earned a 6th place finish at the 2011 NJCAA Wrestling National Championships in Spokane, WA.

After a 3-0 day on Friday, Peet started the second day of competition in the 149 lb. semfinals.  In the semis, he fell 10-8 in a tight match with Iowa Lakes CC's Victor DeJesus.  In the consolation semifinals, Peet lost another tough decision 10-6 to Mark Marianovich (Lincoln CC).  In his final match of the tournament, the 5th place match, Peet continued to wrestle well but fell 10-6 to Michael Perez (Labette CC).

Peet helped the Pioneers to a 29th place overall finish out of 36 teams that competed.  ASC scored 10 points for the event.
