Women's Soccer to Host Mohawk Valley

The Alfred State College women's soccer team will host Mohawk Valley CC in the Region III Division III Tournament Semifinals on Tuesday.  The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Pioneer Stadium.

#5 Mohawk Valley earned a spot in the Region III A Semfinals with a 4-1 victory over #12 Fulton Mongtomery CC on Saturday.  The Lady Hawks will enter the contest 11-3-3 record.

The Lady Pioneers, the #4 seed and ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA poll, will enter the game with an 11-4 overall record and a 10-3 mark in Region III Division III play. 

Holli Pierce (Livonia) has led the offense with 17 goals and and seven assists while Jenna Lynn (York) has seven goals and five assists.  Abby Komarc (Horseheads) finished the regular season with seven goals and three assists and Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood) had six goals and five assists.

Mo Parks (Avoca) has been in net for all 15 games and has made 77 saves.  She carries a 1.39 goals against average into the contest.  In front of her she has received solid play from Morgan Scholla (Genesee Valley), Danielle Henry (Arkport), and Danielle Hill (Addison).

The winner of this match-up will advance to the Region III A finals vs. the winner of the #1 Genesee CC/#8 Herkimer CCC contest.  The Region III A finals will be played Saturday at Tompkins Cortland CC.
