XC Teams Remain in the Poll

The Alfred State College cross country teams remained in the top ten of the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The men's team fell two spots and is now ranked #4 while the women remain ranked #8.

Joe Seitz (Williamsville North) led the Pioneers with a 107th place finish last weekend at the University of Rochester Invitational.  He finished the 8k course in 28:45.  Abbey Benton (Frewsburg) was the top female runner with a 93rd place finish.  She ran the 5k course in 21:49. 

SUNY Delhi continues to lead in both the men's and women's poll.  Gloucester (NJ) CC and Mohawk Valley CC are ahead of Alfred State in the men's poll.  Mohawk Valley is #2, Ocean (NJ) CC is #3, Gloucester is #4, Suffolk CC is #5, Broome CC is #6, and Onondaga CC is #7.

The Pioneers have the weekend off but return to action next Saturday when they compete at the Region III Championships.  Action begins at Finger Lakes CC at 11 a.m.
