Men Ranked #2, Women 8th in latest National Poll

The Alfred State College men's cross country team remained ranked #2 in Week 6 of the NJCAA Division III poll.  The Lady Pioneers fell a few spots to the #8 spot in this week's poll.

The men are coming off a 1st place finish over the weekend at the Nazareth College Invitational.  Ryan Demers (Mexico) finished 3rd overall to lead the Pioneers.  He crossed the line of 6k course in 21:52.05.  Abbey Benton (Frewsburg) led the women, who finished 4th, with a 11th place finish (17:12.68) in the 4k course.

The men continue to trail SUNY Delhi in the national poll and are ahead of Gloucester (NJ), Mohawk Valley CC, and Harper (IL).

SUNY Delhi is also on top of the women's poll followed by Mohawk Valley CC.  Region III foes, Broome CC (6th), Onondaga CC (7th), and Finger Lakes CC (10th) are also in the top ten.

ASC returns to action on Saturday when they race at the University of Rochester Invitational.
