Baseball to Travel to Niagara for WNYAC 1st Round

The Alfred State College baseball team will travel to #2 seeded Niagara CCC on Tuesday for a 1st round WNYAC tournament contest.  The Pioneers enter the tournament with a 3-9 mark in WNYAC play this fall while the Thunderwolves are 7-5.  First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Alfred State swept a doubleheader vs. Niagara CCC at Pioneer Field earlier in the fall.  ASC won 1-0 and 5-2.

This is the second year in a row that ASC and NCCC have met in the WNYAC first round.  The winner will advance to the WNYAC Final Four this Saturday at Dwyer Stadium in Batavia.  The winner will take on the winner of the #3 Monroe CC/#6 Mercyhurst North East contest.

Genesee CC is seeded #1 and will take on the winner of the #4 Jamestown CC/#5 Erie CC contest in the other semifinal.
