Wales' Late Goal Lifts Pioneers

Lucas Wales (Bath) scored with eight minutes left to lift Alfred State to a 2-1 victory over Broome CC.  The Pioneers are now 2-2-2 on the season.

Steven Hickey (Rochester/Aquinas) gave Alfred State a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute after getting a pass from Wales.

The Hornets tied it up with seven minutes left in the 1st half and the game remained tied until Wales' goal with eight minutes left.

BCC held a 11 to 10 shot advantage.  Dan Krajcir (Gloversville) made 10 saves for ASC.

Alfred State returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Niagara CCC for a 1 p.m. start.
