Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Genesee CC snapped Alfred State's three-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory on Tuesday evening at Pioneer Stadium.  GCC, ranked #5 in NJCAA Division III, broke a 1-1 tie with 22:14 remaining in the game.

Jessie Jaszco got the Lady Cougars on the board with 26 minutes remaining but Holli Pierce (Livonia) tied it up with 10:42 remaining in the 1st half after getting a pass from Ginette Cornett (Potsdam).

Catherine Mucha capitalized on an odd man rush with 22:14 left for the game-winner for GCC, who improves to 8-1 on the year.

ASC, 3-2 on the year, will look to rebound on Thursday when they host Broome CC.  The match is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
