Lady Spikers Down Monroe

The Alfred State College volleyball team won an exciting four game match, 17-25, 29-27, 30-28, and 25-11, over Monroe CC.  The victory improves the Lady Pioneers to 6-4 and drops the Lady Tribunes to 6-4.

Brittany Haines (Salamanca) led the way with 34 assists, 17 digs, and nine kills while Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) added 13 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks.  Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) chipped in 13 digs and five digs, Mandy Bush (Altoona, PA) had 18 digs, and Kara Anderson (Wayne Central) finished with 10 digs.

Alfred State has now won five of their last six matches and will return to action next Tuesday at Niagara CCC.  The match is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Sanborn.
