Lady Spikers Falls In Four

The Alfred State volleyball team opened up WNYAC play on Tuesday evening at Genesee CC but couldn't keep early momentum going and fell 25-17, 19-25, 18-25, and 17-25 to the Lady Cougars.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-3 on the year.

Brittany Haines (Salamanca) led the blue & gold with 29 assists and 14 digs while Mandy Bush (Altoona, PA) had a team high 22 digs.  Meghan Kraus (Trumansburg) finished with 11 kills and an ace, Kelley Dumbleton (Warsaw) had 12 digs and nine kills, and Ashley Hulse (Hammondsport) chipped in eight kills and two blocks.

The Lady Pioneers travel to the Jefferson CC tournament on Saturday.
