Three Lacrosse Players Named All-Region

Alfred State College sophomores Ryan Speciale (Corning West), Chase Bailey (Corning West), and Michael Fingar (Shenendehowa) were all named All-Region.  Speciale was a first team selection whil Bailey and Fingar were honorable mention.

Speciale led the blue & gold with 63 points.  He netted 33 goals, second most on the team, and passed out a team best 30 assists.  Speciale recorded a season high eight points twice this season (seven goals and an assist vs. Delaware Tech and three goals and five assists vs. Niagara CCC).  He netted three or more goals in six games this season.  He finishes his two year career with 115 points (70 goals and 45 assists).

Bailey led the Pioneers with 41 goals and finished with four assists.  He had a season high eight points on seven goals and an assist vs. Niagara CCC.  He scored in all fourteen games and scored three or more goals in six games.  He finishes his two year career with 53 goals and six assists.

Fingar anchored the blue & gold's defense.  He was counted on to guard the opponent's top scorer every game and finished the season with 21 ground balls.

The Pioneers finished the 2010 campaign with a 5-9 overall record and a 5-7 record in Region III play.
