BCC Sweeps Past Lady PIoneers

The Alfred State College softball team struggled and were fell in a Region III Division II doubleheader at Broome CC.  BCC earned the sweep with 20-3 and 8-0 victories.

In the opener, Broome scored eight runs in the 2nd to blow open the game.  The top four hitters in the Hornet roster scored 13 of the teams 20 runs.  Charise Nankivell (Hornell) finished 2 for 2 with a two-run homer while Amber Harding (Fillmore) was 2 for 2 with a double.

ASC was held to just one hit by Nankivell in the nightcap.

The Lady Pioneers (10-12 overall and 7-8 in Region III Division III games) return home on Thursday when they host I-86 rivals Corning CC.  First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.
