Slow Start Slows Down Pioneers Lax

The Alfred State College lacrosse team fell behind 6-2 in the 1st quarter and never could recover and fell 15-8 to Harford (MD) CC. ASC is now 1-1 on the season.

Ryan Speciale (Corning West) led the blue & gold with two goals and five assists while James Moss (Hilton) and Chase Bailey (Corning West) each chipped in two goals.  Tony Micelotta (Irondequoit) had a goal and assist, James Battaglini (Vestal) had a goal, and Tyler Baird (Corning West) passed out an assist.

Harford won 17 of the 25 face-offs and had a 63 to 49 ground ball advantage.  ASC was 2 for 9 with a man advantage while Harford was 2 for 7.

ASC concludes their season opening three-game road trip on Sunday when they take on Delaware Tech at 1 p.m.
