An Alfred State College health information technology graduate is being honored with achievement awards in 2010.

Wilkins, who graduated from Alfred State in December 2009, maintained a 3.26 grade point average (out of a possible 4.0). Wilkins is a medical transcriptionist at Eastern Niagara Hospital, Newfane. She will sit for the national Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) exam this summer.

Both will be honored at the NYHIMA banquet in June, which is held as part of the Annual Conference of the New York Health Information Management Association, Inc.
