The Alfred State College women's basketball team dropped a back and forth contest 60-52 to Erie CC on Saturday. During the contest sophomore Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) established a new ASC career scoring record of 920 points.
Brooks had a season low eight points on the day but surpassed Nichole Tyler's previous school record of 916 points (2005-2007). Brooks now has scored 920 points in her two year playing career in 44 games (20.9 points per game).
Amanda Blake (Cuba Rushford) led the Pioneers with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Yakima Williams (Brooklyn/Franklin Lane) added eight points off the bench.
Alexandra Hart led the Kats with 21 points while Shaneya Feguson added nine points and eight rebounds.
The blue & gold have a week off until they travel to Mercyhurst North East next Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Liguouri Fieldhouse.
