First Half Run Leads Cougars Past ASC

Genesee CC broke a 24-24 tie with a 17-5 run to close out the first half en route to a 88-67 victory over Alfred State on Thursday evening.  The Lady Pioneers fall to 10-9 overall and 1-3 in WNYAC play.

Brittney Brooks (Elmira Free) led the blue & gold with 25 points and eight rebounds.  Amanda Blake (Cuba Rushford) finished with 16 points while Shawna McNeil (Hornell) added nine points.

Alfred State returns to the road on Saturday when they visit the Flickenger Center to take on Erie CC at 1 p.m.
