Food and Gift Drive For Soldiers

Students pack Christmas boxes for distribution to soldiersThe SkillsUSA Club members of Alfred State College’s School of Applied Technology recently conducted a food and gift drive for the soldiers fighting overseas. Members placed collection boxes in each department on campus and collected and mailed nine boxes of foodstuffs and other items. Pictured here, l-r, ASC College of Technology students are shown packing Christmas boxes for distribution to soldiers: Richard Germain, Tonawanda, and Nicole Wagner, Canisteo, students in the culinary arts: baking, production and management program; Bob Assad, East Aurora, and Andrew Litzinger, Cherry Point, NC, (former Marine), students in the electrical construction and maintenance electrician program; Michael Thomas II, Queens Village, enrolled in the automotive service technician program; and Ronny Freeland, Canisteo, and Shareya Emery, Binghamton, also culinary arts: baking, production and management students.
