Check presentation to AE Hook and Ladder Company

Alfred State College’s Student Senate sponsored its annual “Give-Up-A-Meal” program earlier this month whereby the college’s food service and vending organization, ACES (Auxiliary Campus Enterprises and Services), allows students to donate a “meal punch” in exchange for a $2 cash contribution to a benevolent organization. This year’s program, coordinated by MacKenzie East Hall Council, raised money for the AE Crandall Hook and Ladder Company. The event, in which 492 students participated, raised $984. Pictured here at the check presentation, are, l-r: Robert Pipal, president; Tammy Burdick, EMS assistant chief; Scott Bishop, MacKenzie East, Warsaw; Wendall Peters, chief; A.J. La Mere, ASC Student Senate president, Rochester; John Colburn, assistant chief; and Nancy Furlong, assistant chief.
