Submitted by WelkerPM on Thu, 11/19/2009 - 9:33pm

Cuyahoga CC hit 23 foul shots in the second half en route to a 78-66 victory over Alfred State on Thursday evening in Cleveland, OH.  The Pioneers fall to 3-5 on the season.

Resean Parris (Benjamin Banneker) and Younatan Gobezai (Bethesda, MD) finished with 15 each to pace the Pioneers offense.  Neil Wilson (Ft. Worth, TX) chipped in 10 points.

ASC led early 15-7 early on before the Challengers went on a 15-4 run and led by eight at halftime.  CCC led 37-36 but was able to take advantage of Pioneer foul trouble to extend the lead en route to the victory.  Cuyahoga was 23 for 32 from the charity stripe in the second half.

The blue & gold take on Fulton Montgomery CC on Saturday in the first round of the ASC Tournament.  Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. following the Jefferson CC - Rockland CC contest (5 p.m.)
