Basketball Season Tips off Tuesday

The 2009-10 Alfred State College basketball season tips off on Tuesday evening as the Pioneers travel to Binghamton for non-league match-ups versus Broome CC.

The basketball doubleheader will be  broadcasted live for free on the Internet courtesy of the Southern Tier Sports Network. Streaming audio broadcasts of the games can be heard at http://www.southerntiersportsnetwork.com. The women's game will be broadcast at 6 p.m. and the men's game will be broadcast at approximately 8 p.m. The broadcasts will also be recorded and posted to the website's "Archive" page after the games are over, where they can be heard anytime for free.

The Lady Pioneers were 10-14 in 2008-09 while the Pioneers were 17-14.  Last season, Broome CC's women defeated ASC 57-47 while the ASC men defeated Broome 80-60.
