Lady Spikers Sweep Past MNE

The Alfred State College volleyball team raced past Mercyhurst North East 25-22, 25-19, 25-22 in a WNYAC match-up at the Orvis Activities Center on Tuesday evening.  The Lady Pioneers improve to 12-11 overall on the season and 2-3 in WNYAC play.

Emily Linn (Portville) led the way with 11 kills and nine digs.  Brittany Haines (Salamanca) passed out 23 assists and was credited with five digs, Kelly Dumbleton (Warsaw) added eight kills, Kelly McDermott (Webster Thomas) had a game-high 14 digs, and Shelby Gadsen (Olean) and Rachel Hale (Batavia) each had three kills.

ASC plays their final home game of the season on Thursday when they host Finger Lakes CC at 6 p.m.
