The Alfred State College women's soccer team downed Cayuga CC 4-0 to improve to 9-1-2 on the year.  The shutout for the 8th ranked NJCAA Division III team is the eighth of the season.

Jessie Smith (Fredonia) and Kassandra Durant (Ilion) scored first half goals while Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) and Ginette Cornett (Potsdam) netted second half goals.  Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove) was credited with assists on Durant's and Hubbel's goals.

The Lady Pioneers fired 35 shots on goal while ASC goalie Mo Parks (Avoca) was unchallenged in net.

Alfred State has a week off before traveling to #2 Herkimer CCC next Saturday.  The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
