Men's Soccer Blanks Mercyhurst NE

The Alfred State College men's soccer team won their second straight and third in their last four games with a 1-0 victory over Mercyhurst North East on Saturday.  The Pioneers improve to 3-4 on the season.

Nana Owusu-Obeng (Yonkers/Gorton) found the back of the net for the Pioneers lone goal of the game.  He scored after getting the set up pass from Kevin Arilotta (Churchville).

The coaching staff credited Arilotta and Eric Cline (WT Clarke) with solid games that were key to the victory.

Daniel Krajcir (Gloversville) made five saves including a game saving stop late in the contest to record his third shutout of the season.

The Pioneers have a few days off before opening homecoming 2009 activities on Thursday with a 4 p.m. contest versus Broome CC.
